Since its founding in 1856, 萌妹社区aratory School has provided young men with a holistic educational experience, grounded in our four pillars of family, faith, compassion, and courage. In an effort to share our mission with younger students, 萌妹社区 is proud to offer a variety of academic, athletic, and social experiences to current seventh grade – and younger – students.

Freshman for a Day for Seventh Grade Students

Spend a day shadowing a 萌妹社区 freshman!

The Freshman for a Day Program is the perfect way for seventh graders to experience 萌妹社区 for the first time! This unique opportunity is available to 7th grade students between March 4 and May 17, 2024.

In order to provide as personal a visit as possible, we limit visitation to ten visitors per day. Visitors should plan to arrive by 8:30 on the day of their scheduled visit. Classes begin each morning at 8:50 and conclude at 2:45 pm. Parents are invited to return to the Admission Office at 2:30 for an informal gathering with the Director of Admission and other parents.

Open House

The 2023 Fall Open House for 7th and 8th graders and their families will take place on Sunday, October 29, 2023. Come and visit both our beautiful 12-acre main campus and our state of the art 44-acre Kelly Athletic Complex just one mile from campus! Learn more
Pirates Academy

At Pirates Academy, rising eighth-grade boys will enjoy an introduction to 萌妹社区’s educational opportunities while preparing for our entrance examination. Develop a lab in our state- of-the-art John J. Murphy ‘52 Science Center … or work with our renowned varsity coaches and student athletes … or engineer your own project on a 3D printer. Enjoy great educational experiences at every turn!

For 2025, we will be offering THREE 5-day Academies!

June 16-20, June 23-27, and July 7-11.

萌妹社区 Athletic Camps

Since her founding in 1856, 萌妹社区 and her student athletes have amassed over 397 conference, county, and state championships across 16 different sports. The purpose of the 萌妹社区 Athletic Department is two-fold: to provide the tools to achieve athletic success, and to give our young men the skills necessary to succeed in life. Each summer, future and current Pirates of all ages are invited to attend one (or more!) of our many athletic camps, offered at The Prep’s own Kelly Athletic Complex and main campus in West Orange.
